You Need Time Off-Develop Leaders!

I spoke to our Marketplace Ministry group today...we're just getting it off the ground.  Labor shortages really plague this area and the topic of developing more leaders is a crucial need.  I think there are some obvious parallels to church life.

Maximum Impact

Did our 4th Maximum Impact in the past 7 years at our church this past Friday...the content was spectacular, and the presenters were excellent.  I personally really resonated with the way Patrick Lencionci and Dave Ramsey did their presentations.....I've heard everything they said before, but I just loved the way they were so "dialed".

Marketplace Ministries

CVC is finally launching something we've only "dabbled" with before.  We are launching what I'm hoping will become a fully orbed Marketplace Ministry (go Debra, go Kevin, go Don!).  Here are the basic outlines of the ministry:

Marketplace Ministries exists to encourage and empower business leaders to live out Christian faith in their daily lives

Monthly luncheon meetings to inform, edify and challenge local marketplace leaders to make a positive impact on their business,  employees/employers and community.

Semi Annual or Quarterly Outreach Events (e.g. Maximum Impact Seminars)

Formation of BLT's (Business Life Teams) who meet independently  to support and enhance the MPM mission.

I believe that marketplace ministry is one of the major outreach roles for the church as we lean into the next couple decades...
